Nana

Jamie's beloved Nana went Home this morning. Even though the hurt is deep and the tears continue to fall, all who knew her understand that she was ready to finally see her Jesus. I am so thankful for the years that we have had with her and that all our children are old enough to remember her. She was the strongest, funniest, and most "just say it like it is" person that I have ever met... and I loved her like my own grandmother. Nana has touched so many lives and so many people are who they are today because of her. I will never hear a turkey gobble or make homemade chicken noodle soup without thinking of you, Nana. You are forever in our hearts. Until we see each other again......I love and miss you

Sage and Silas

This morning Sage and Silas played together for the first time on a sport team. It was so much fun to watch them interact together - I love them so much. Since Silas has played soccer before he was very good at letting Sage know if she wasn't in the right position or needed extra "coaching" advise. Unfortunately Sage had injured her ankle last weekend at Daddy/Daughter camp so she spent most of the game as goalie. They had a great time - winning 2-1. Good job!

Cole driving!!!

I am not sure where to begin this one. "Yesterday" Jamie and I were trying to hold a baby on our shoulders as we wrote term papers and prepared for finals at KU. Today we saw him drive off by himself for the first time. Yea, I mean drive. Like behind the wheel of our Suburban. I am so excited for him as he begins this new chapter of his life but for "mom" it was somewhere between heartache for time gone and extreme apprehension for his safety. I am so glad that we serve a God who loves us and hears our prayers. I will definitely be keeping the communication line to Heaven busy for quite a while! If you live in Mesa, be on the lookout for black suburbans. Just kidding, Cole is a great driver. And for the record, all prayers are very much appreciated. Thanks

Silas - my soccer wiz

A night to remember!

This picture is too good to pass up! My two nephews, Eric and Dane, took a last minute road trip Monday night from their home in Austin, Texas to San Antonio. "Somehow" they pulled off seats 10 rows back from the court. What a night - the phones are still ringing and the emails buzzing. The game might be over and the Jayhawks titled "National Champions", but the sweetness of their victory is just beginning.

Night with the Maples

Wow - what a great day!! The Jayhawks played a fantastic game to pull of an unanticipated win against North Carolina. Breanna was brave enough to come over and watch the game with us crazy KU fans. As you can see in the picture, she is even sporting a Kansas shirt that Cole gave her for her 16th birthday - which is Monday. Happy Birthday, Breanna! The rest of her family came in time to catch the second half of the game - which wasn't nearly as good as the first half. We had a great time with the Maples and since they left smiling it is very hopeful that they will come over again sometime!! I was afraid that Sage's guitar hero skills might have scared Nathan off. Trudy instigated the whole "Bausher blog" thing. She is very optimistic and has overestimated my ability to update and control this thing. I will apologize in advance for any blunders I make. My hope is that all our friends and family in Pennsylvania and Kansas will appreciate my attempt to keep you updated on our crazy lives and those of you in Arizona will get a closer glimpse of who we are. Oh, by the way Jared, as we were driving through the neighborhood this morning we were startled to see masks of bald-headed men laying here and there. In case you don't already know, KU plays tomorrow night. Please don't call us if we lose, we will be in official mourning until next basketball season. Rock Chalk Jayhawk - GO KU
Thanks Trudy!
